When Night Falls, They’ll All Fall Away

If I could take flight
If I could mount the sky
If wind were my throne
I’d leave here, I’d leave here today
I’d build a new road
That led up to the stars
Where I’d be alone
And free to live that way
When night falls, they’ll all fall away

The ocean longing
It draws me to the shore
And tempts me with sounds
That only, that only I hear
The wind increasing
Teaches my soul to soar
The waves at my feet
To laugh and to live without fear
When night falls, they’ll all fall away

Walking with the wind in my hair
I know how the angels must feel
To hear someone sing a mournful song
And then discover they’re real

The light above me
It warms my face at night
I offer my hand
And hope it will help me to rise
From deep within me
I cry with all my might
My gaze on the stars
It draws me up into the sky
When night falls, they’ll all fall away
When night falls, they’ll all fall away
When night falls, they’ll all fall away
