Long dark hair seaweed spread
Body curves sandbar wave
Fingers surface reeds at the shore
Gulls reflection before the dive
Yemayas child
Looking out horizon from strand
Emptied out through my eyes
I let the tide bury my feet
Until it covered me complete
Yemayas child
The ocean opens me
Takes my pain
Flowing out
Fathoms deep
Sadness remains
But in her hands
It all seems far away
The only drum slap of waves in my ear
The rhythm comforts me
No longer remember what brought me here
I let the currents carry me
Yemayas child
Yemayas child
